Fabric Stencil of the Month
Come learn the fine art of stenciling on fabric. Each month our own Long Island Artist, Cindy Bateman will be making original stencils exclusively coordinated for Gone Sewin and you from our own fabric.
Classes will be 3 hours each month and will include the muslin to be stenciled on, use of the original unique stencils, paints, a fat quarter of the coordinated fabric and  use of Cindy’s brushes your first class. If you wish you can purchase a stencil to create this magnificent design to use on multiple pieces of fabric or on multiple projects.

Patterns will be available to help you decide what you want to make with the stencils...bags, quilts, wall hangings and much more. A different design will be created each month and you can choose which months you prefer. This way you can purchase as much or as little of the coordinating fabric to make what you want besides the fat quarter.

The samples can be found here:www.gonesewin.com/stencil%20OF%20THE%20MONTH.htm or stop by the store. Class size is limited and going fast.

I have planned another class as requested for the Arkansas Crossroads Quilt Top Sunday, June 27 from 11 - 5pm. The class was sold out last month so I am offering it again. The picture is here _____________ and you can see the sample in the store.
You can either buy a kit or come in and get the pre-requisite cutting that has to be done before class. It is a great one for those smaller 2 1/2" scraps you never know what to do with or choose some new fabric pallete of your choice, buy some pre-cut pieces, or do some of both! You can see pictures of the first class at the bottom of Gallery 10. If you are interested in doing the quilt but that day is not good for you because of graduations, please let me know.
The groovey boards on the Longarm are working great and people have been using them themselves and I have been using them to add to the artistry when I do your quilts for you. Not to mention they are a lot of fun and make the quilts look really good!
A reminder: I will be closed Sunday June 13, and Sunday June 20th if no one is scheduled to come in.

5/9/10

It has been awhile and I have much exciting news to share:

As you can see I am back from my terrific classes on my Longarm, and
boy were they great! I can not wait to go back next year. My head is
overflowing with knowledge and ideas for working on your quilts and
teaching you what I have learned and I bought Millie some new toys.
That is what I have been busy doing since I got back...setting her up
so she is even easier to use to do your quilts, and quilting peoples
quilts I was saving till I got her new equipment.

I bought a large number of EZ Boards that are so much easier to use
than the pantographs. Only the best for Millie. You can see some of
the designs here <http://www.gonesewin.com/>
that are available for you to use when you rent her too. Right now
you can see how much fun people have been having on her in the last
few Gallery pages on my website, and soon I will make one just for her
so you can see the beautiful things people and I are doing on her. I
knew it was going to fun getting her, but I never knew how much.

Other great news...Electric Quilt 7 is almost ready and I am
offering a special price in the next few weeks on both the whole
package and the upgrades. As you know I am always using this software
program to design classes and to help you design your quilts or re
vamp them. If you have not seen it, come in for a quick demo. I have
one at work and at home.

The deal they are offering on their website is $142 for the whole
package PLUS $8 shipping and the upgrade is $58 PLUS $8 shipping.
Regularly $189.95 and $89.95 respectively after June 1. I will match
their offer for $142 or $58 and Gone Sewin will pay the shipping. That
is how much I love and encourage this software. All you have to do is
come in and pay for it by Wednesday, May 26 so I know how many to
order. I already have a list started, with me on the top. Any
questions, just call the store! It is a great deal you do not want to
miss if you are interested in the program at all or ever had any
questions. I also give lessons on it for those of you that need it.

 Until next time, Toni
